Chairman Simmons called the meeting to order at 9:36 p.m. Roll call
was taken. All members were present.
Discussion - Fox Valley Press, Inc.
Mr. Waldock reported the Fox Valley Press Annexation Agreement
includes provisions for variances from Village parking requirements and
landscaping standards. State statutes and local codes require the
Zoning Board of Appeals to formally act on any variances required.
Since the subject site is not yet within Village boundaries, no action
can be taken at this time.
Mr. Waldock asked the Board to go on record with a consensus of
support for the variances regarding signage, landscaping and parking.
After some discussion, the Board could see no problem with the
variances requested and decided to make a recommendation to the Village
Board.
J. Sobkoviak moved to recommend to the Village Board to approve
variances for signage, landscaping and parking as presented in the
proposed Annexation Agreement of Fox Valley Press. Seconded by
M. Krippel. Vote by roll call.
Krippel, yes; Sobkoviak, yes; Schempf (left hearing before motion
was made); Norris, yes; Bayer, yes; Consola, yes; Simmons, yes.
6 yes, 0 no, 1 absent. Motion carried.
