OCTOBER 27, 2014 — 7:00 P.M.
IONA COMMUNITY CENTER
PRESENT: Mayor Brad Andersen, Council President Robyn Walker, Council Member Rob
Geray, Council Member Dan Gubler, Council Member Kathy McNamara, and City Clerk Julie
Hammond.
ABSENT: Public Works Director Zech Prouse, Building Inspector Allen Eldridge, and
Treasurer Amy Sullivan.
VISITORS: None.
Mayor Andersen called the Special City Council Meeting to order and took a roll call vote:
Council President Walker — Yes Council Member Geray — Yes
Council Member Gubler — Yes Council Member McNamara — Yes
Executive Session: Council Member Geray moved to retire into executive session to consider
personnel matters as provided in § 67-2345(1)(a) Idaho Code, Chapter 3, Title 9. Council
President Walker seconded the motion. The motion was passed by roll call vote:
Council President Walker — Yes Council Member Geray — Yes
Council Member Gubler — Yes Council Member McNamara — Yes
Thereafter followed a discussion regarding the Chief of Police position. A motion was then
made, seconded and approved to retire back into open session at 6:35 p.m.
The Special City Council Meeting was reconvened. Council discussed paying for Matthew
Lurker's Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) and a written contract. Mayor Andersen
would contact Attorney Storer regarding a contract including repayment of POST expenses if
Mr. Lurker left the employment of the City of Iona before a set time period.
Meeting adjourned 6:40 p.m.
