HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-19-1984 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE • CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, NOVEMBER 19, 1984 1 ,, The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in 2 charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular 3 session November 19, 1984 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Municipal Building 4 in said City. Chairman Whitesell presided with the following members present: III 5 Councilpersons Elstro, Williams, Brookbank, Hankinson, Parker, Bodiker and 6 Morris. Absent: Lemoine. . The' followiiig business was had to—wit: 7 • 8 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 5, 1984 . . 9 10 Councilperson Morris moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting - 11 as prepared, seconded by Councilperson Brookbank and on unanimous voice vote 12 the motion was carried. 13 14 APPROVAL OF BILLS AND INVESTMENTS 15 16 Councilperson Bodiker moved to approve the following bills already paid and 17 investments purchased, seconded by Councilperson Elstro and on unanimous 18 voice vote the motion was carried. 19 20 Bills Already Paid 21 Payroll and Deductions 11/2/84 148,038.28 22 23 Investments Purchased from: 24 Depreciation Reserve Fund 977,179.00 25 Utility Bond Reserve 412,104.00 26 Cash Operating Fund 601,000.00 27 Cash Reserve Fund 121,500.00 28 Total Investments 2,111,783.00 1. 29 30. Miscellaneous Bills Already Paid 68,163.79 31 32 Total of Bills Already Paid 2.2',327':;985c 07 33 34 Councilperson Bodiker moved to approve bills in the amount of 433,610.05 35 for payment, seconded by Councilperson Parker and on unanimous voice vote 36 the motion was carried. 37 • 38 Grand total of all bills approved for payment was 2,761,595. 12. 39 40 REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN 41 42 Chairman Whitesell reminded the members of the Board of the regular monthly 43 meeting at the Service Building on November 26, 1984 at 7:00 P.M. . Mr. 44 Whitesell also offered the congratulations and appreciation of the Board 45 of Directors to Mr. Robert Drifmeyer for forty (40) years of service to Richmond 46 Power & Light and directed Mr. Huffman to extend these sentiments of the 47 Board to Mr. Drifmeyer. 48 49 STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE REPORT _ 50 51 Councilperson Elstro stated that the Committee was working on a request on 52 Dillon Drive. • 53 • . 111 54 REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER 55 56 General Manager Huffman told the members of the Board that he would extend 57 their wishes to Mr. Drifmeyer and that he has several employees with forty 58 (40) years of service or more. 59 60 Mr. Huffman stated that he has given the Board copies of the up to date budget . 61 figures, the monthly report and the 1985 proposed budget. The 1985 proposed 62 budget must be passed by the' end of the year and will be discussed at the 63 November 26, 1984 meeting.
