A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE USE OF THE BATEMAN HALL AUDITORIUM AND WAIVING THE RENTAL
FEES IN THE AMOUNT OF $454
WHEREAS, a request was made by Assembly Member Anthony Rendon and
Senator Ricardo Lara to host a health and environmental symposium at the Bateman
Hall Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the event is to give area and California residents a
forum to discuss health and environmental issues facing California's Latino
communities; and
WHEREAS, the event will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from
7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the use of City facilities and the waiver of
rental fees in the amount of $454.
Section 2. The City Council further finds that the request serves the important
public purpose of educating Lynwood residents community -wide.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21St day of October, 2014.
