A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE APPOINTMENT OF MR. WILLIAM STRACKER OF D R CONSULTANTS AND
DESIGNERS TO SERVE AS INTERIM DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS /CITY
ENGINEER; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH D R
CONSULTANTS AND DESIGNERS FOR THIS APPOINTMENT. AND APPROVING
THE APPROPRIATION OF NOT TO EXCEED $172,000 FOR THE SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works provides key services to the
community; and `
WHEREAS, given the scope of services provided by the Department of Public
Works, services of a Director /City Engineer are needed to fill a key management
leadership position in the Department; and
WHEREAS, Mr. William Stracker of D R Consultants and Designers provided a
proposed scope of services to the City to serve as Interim Director of Public Works /City
Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the appointment of Mr. William
Stracker of D R Consultants and Designers to serve as Interim Director of Public
Works /City Engineer.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute an Agreement
with D R Consultants and Designers in the amount not to exceed $172,000 in a form
approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That the City Council authorize the appropriation of $172,000 and
authorizes the Director of Finance to use funds generally used to fund the
salaries /benefits of the Director of Public Works /City Engineer.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 2014.
