RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH CASTANEDA & ASSOCIATES
TO PREPARE THE CITY'S CONSOLIDATED 5 —Year -PLAN (CONPLAN) AND
ANALYSIS OF IMPEDIMENTS TO FAIR HOUSING CHOICE (AI) DOCUMENT FOR
FISCAL YEARS 2015 -2020
WHEREAS, the City, as an entitlement community, is eligible for annual
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership
(HOME) funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, in order to remain eligible for these funds, HUD requires grant
recipients to have a HUD approved Consolidated 5 -Year Plan (ConPlan) and Analysis
of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice'(AI); and provide for annual updates through its
Consolidated Annual Action Plan. The City's current fiscal year 2010 -2014 ConPlan
and Al expires June 30, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the services of a Consultant to prepare its
ConPlan and AI and has advertised, received and analyzed proposals for these
services. As a result, Castaneda & Associates was selected as the most qualified
proponents to complete the ConPlan and Al for fiscal years 2015 -2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the selection
of Castaneda & Associates to prepare Lynwood's Consolidated 5 -Year Plan and
Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for fiscal years 2015 -2020; and the
Mayor is authorized to execute an Agreement. with Castaneda & Associates in the
amount of $23,980, which expires June 30, 2015.
Section 2. That this.Resolution is effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of September, 2014.
