HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-05-1914441 office of Board of Public '.Yorks, City of Richmond, Tndiana, I!onday January 5th, 1914, The Board of Public ;forks of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board on Monday January 5th, 1914. at 9 o'clock A, lie all the members of said Board being present, Messrs, Lennopohl, Charles and ,,immerman. The following proceedings were had, to -wit; - Pursuant to continuance to this date, the Board meets to hear all persons interested in the improvement of Main Street from 4th Street to Lain Street bridge, by paving the roadway with one of the following kinds of modern city pavement's, Concrete -Brick -Asphalt -Creosoted Wooden Block, as Provided for by Improvement Resolution No. 386-1913. After hearing all persons interested who appeared and carefully consider- ing a remonstrances filed by James pullinger et -al, said remonstrance having been signed by all the resident property owners, the Board can proceed no further with said improve- ment unless authorized by the Common Council so to do by ordinance passed by said body and approved by the Idayor. Mr. T, C. Ilubbard, representing the Nest Richmond Improve- ment Association, urged the Board to raise the grade of Chin Street from west end of bridge east to between 2nd & 3rd Street, find make the_:railroad company go under the stroot, the Board after some discussion on this question deemed the proposition of Mr. Hubbard impractical. I,ir. 3immormon then moved the resolution bo confirmed, and the same be referred to the Common Council with an ordinance recoi,unending that street be improved as provided in plans and specifications under said resolution, motion unanimously carried.
