A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING A PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,693.39 TO THE , LYNWOOD
SPORTS ASSOCIATION'S LYNWOOD YOUTH BASEBALL /SOFTBALL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to continue offering an array of quality
and accessible youth sports programming that meets the needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Sports Association is instrumental in assisting the City
with the planning and delivery of youth sports programming; and
WHEREAS, the City believes that the Lynwood Sports Association and its
member sport groups should contribute a fair share of facility maintenance and repair
costs for facilities that they have been granted access to.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves a payment of $18,693.39 from the
balance of funds managed by the City for the 2014 LYBS Spring Season to the
Lynwood Sports Association's Lynwood Youth Baseball & Softball program from
Account # 1011.60.33195.
Section 2. The City Council directs that 100% of the payment to LSA -LYBS
must be used to support needed repairs, upgrades and cleaning to the City Park Snack
Bar facility and field signage as identified by staff. Projects are to be completed before
the start of the 2015 Spring Season.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
