A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF- THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR AND APPROVING OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2014 -2015
ROSTER OF SPECIAL EVENTS AND ESTABLISHING' A CITY COUNCIL
DISCRETIONARY FUND FROM THE ANNUAL WASTE HAULER/REFUSE SPECIAL
EVENTS ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to establish a pre- determined roster of
community special events to be held during Fiscal Year 2014 -2015; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to re- establish a Refuse Account
funded City Council Discretionary Fund for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015; and
WHEREAS, the offering of community - building special events is key to a
community's quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council desires to continue the City's tradition of
building a strong sense of community through the presenting of quality, family- oriented,
culturally relevant and community based special events.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the reinstatement of a City Council
General Discretionary Fund for FY 14/15, funded by the annual Refuse Account in the
amount of $15,000.
Section 2. The City Council hereby approves the roster of citywide special
events at a cost of $146,000 with full funding from the annual Refuse Account.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of September, 2014.
