AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING CONTRACT
WITH CME ASSOCIATES, FEE ESTIMATE FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION PHASE SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services in
connection with Construction Administration Phase Services for the 2018 Road Improvement
Program; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731, possesses the
requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a total cost
not to exceed $125,000.00; and
the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
REAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said

, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of
et, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services related to the
Construction Phase Services for the 2018 Road Improvement Program at a cost
not to exceed $125,000.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process
as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department,
the Borough Director of Engineering and CME Associates.
