A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ALLOWING
FOR THE WAIVER OF FEES IN SUPPORT OF THE CENTURY SHERIFF'S STATION
FOUNDATION TO HOST A COMMUNITY CARNIVAL AT PLAZA MEXICO.. ,
WHEREAS, The Century Station Foundation provides support to the L.A. County
Century Sheriff's Station; and
WHEREAS, from October 3, 2014 through November 2, 2014 they are
requesting a waiver of 'fees to conduct a Community Carnival on the empty parking lot
of Plaza 'Mexico; and
WHEREAS, this Community Carnival will consist of local booth vendors, food,
carnival rides, games, and the Century Sheriff's Station participation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds that the
important public purposes described in the above recitals are served in waiving the fees
for Century Sheriff's Station Foundation — Community Carnival in amount of $260.
Section 2. Any cost associated with the City of Lynwood's support of said
event is approved as a waiver of fees only.
Section 3. This Resolution is effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 2014.
