IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF .THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, JUNE .6, 1983 . . 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in 2 charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular 3 session June 7, 1983 at the hour of 7:00- p.m. in .the Municipal Building of 4 said City. Chairman Welch presided with the following members present: III5 Messrs. Elstro, Williams, Ms. Henry, Mills, Parker, Carter and Paust. Absent: III 6 Hankinson. The following business was had, to-wit: 7 8 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 16, 1983 9 10 Councilman Mills moved the minutes of the .previous. meeting be approved as 11 published, seconded -by Councilman Parker and onunanimous voice vote the motion 12 was carried. 13 14 APPROVAL OF BILLS 15 16 Councilwoman Henry moved to approve bills in the amount of $6604-080.51, seconded 17 by Councilman Carter and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 18 19 REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER 20 RESOLUTION 21- . . . 22 General Manager Irving Huffman submitted a resolution, which will also go to 23 Common Council, authorizing him to sign an agreement between Public Service 24 Company of Indiana and Wayne County REMC. . There was a law passed which required 25 the'Public .Service Commission to set up hearings and establish protected terri= 26 tory boundaries. Maps were to be used and the. boundary lines would be drawn on 27. the maps, which would be signed. All parties..are now .in. agreement on the lines. 28 The territories are fixed except in a case where .there can be mutual agreement 29 between the parties o.r if the city limits should extend beyond the present 30 serving area. 31 . 32 A motion appears on the agenda to pass and adopt a Resolution 'authorizing the 33 General Manager to sign an agreement between RP&L and PSI and Wayne County REMC. 34 . . . . . . - 35 Councilman Elstro so moved, seconded by Councilman Carter and on a call of the 36 roll the following was recorded: . 37 AYES:Elstro, Williams, Henry, Mills, Parker, Carter, Paust, Welch (8) 38 NOES:None (0) ' 39 40 AWARD BID FOR FOUR (4) 15KV CIRCUIT BREAKERS . 41 42 Mr. Huffman presented the bid tabulation for 4• 15KV circuit breakers recommending 43 the bid of Square D Company for a total price of $63,528 as the lowest and best 44 bid. 45 • 46 Councilman Elstro so moved, seconded by Councilman Williams and on a call of the 47 roll the following was recorded: 48 AYES:Elstro, Williams, Henry, Mills, Parker, Carter, Paust, Welch (8) 49 NOES:None (0) 50 51 BID FOR 1,000 PENDANT TYPE 250 WATT HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LUMINAIRES_ 52 . - 53 Mr. Huffman presented the bid tabulation for street lights recommending the bid 54 of Richmond Electric Company for a total price of $72,290 as the lowest and best 55 bid. June 6, 1983 Page 2 • 1 .ONE (1) TWO DOOR HATCHBACK 2 3' Mr. Huffman presented the bid tabulation for one (1) two door hatch back 4 recommending the bid of fred First Ford at $5,139 net difference as the 5 lowest and best bid. . 6 7 Councilman Mills so moved, seconded .by Councilman Parker and on a call of 8 the roll the following was recorded: 9 AYES:Elstro, Williams, Henry, Mills, Parker, Carter, Paust, Welch (8) • 10 NOES:None (0) 11 12 ONE (1) FOUR DOOR SEDAN 13 14 Mr. Huffman presented the bid tabulation for one (1) four door sedan recom- 15 mending the bid of Tom Brookbank Chevrolet at $6,300 net difference as the 16 lowest and best bid. 17 18 Councilman Mills so moved, seconded by Councilman Parker and on a call of 19 the roll the following was recorded: . 20 AYES:Elstro, Williams, Henry, Mills, Parker, Carter, Paust, Welch (8) 21 NOES:None • (0) 22 23 ADJOURNMENT 24 25 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed 26 the meeting was adjourned.
