HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-16-1983 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA., SERVING .AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF .THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, MAY 16, 1983 1 The Common Co.uncil .of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as' a -Board in . 2 charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular 3 session May 16, ..1983 at the hour of_7 :00 p.m. in .the Municipal Building of ' 4 said City. ., Chairman Welch presided with the following members present: 5 Messrs., Elstro, Williams, Ms. Henry, Hankinson, Mills, Parker, Carter and 6 Paust. .Absent: None,:: The following business was had, to-wit: 7 8 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 2., 1983 9 . 10 Councilman Hankinson moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as 11 received, seconded by Councilman Mills and on unanimous voice vote the motion 12 was carried.' . 13 . 14 APPROVAL OF BILLS, TRANSFERS AND INVESTMENTS PURCHASED • 15 ' 16 Councilman Hankinson moved to approve the bills, transfers and investments as 17 listed ..o.n the agenda, seconded) by Councilwoman Henry and on unanimous voice 18 vote the motion was carried. 19 - 20 REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN • 21 22 Chairman Welch reminded the Board of the executive meeting on May 23 at, 7 :00 p.m. 23 at RP&L... He also welcomed the government class from Centerville High School. 24 25 REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER . • 26 . 27 General Manager Irving. Huffman noted item (1) dealing with the adoption of .a 28 resolution authorizing an assigned service area agreement between R.P.&L. , P.S.I. 29 Inc. , and Wayne Co...R.E.M.C. has been-removed from the agenda .because of some III30 technicalities not complete.. In order for the joint agency bill to go through, 31 there :had to be a -trade-off of protective territories. This involves establishing 32 the boundaries between the systems as they exist today. This resolution will 33 appear on the agenda for the next meeting. 34 35 OPEN BIDS. FOR STREET LIGHTS AND REFER TO GENERAL MANAGER FOR TABULATION, 36 EVALUATION_.
