The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board on Friday July 24th, 1908, at 10 O'Clock A.M. All the members of said Board being present: :deaer9, Staubach, Johnson, and O'Neal. The following proceedings were had to -wit: - The Board appoints August Hartmann, member of the Richmond Fire Department to succeed Will Taylor resigned, the appointment to become effective August lst, 1908. I An additional petition was presented for the construction of a sewer in the first alley ?ast of South 13th street, from South E street to South G street, the Board orders Resolution and plans for the grading, and construction of sewer in said above named alley. The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of the contract of Daniel G.Burkhardt, for the improvement of gain street, from South first street to the East end of the Main street bridge, by constructing cement sidewalk, and cement curb and gutter on the South side thereof, as provided for by Improvement Resolution 1do.1,46-1908* the total cost of said irq)rovem�nt amounting to the sum of $177,86 Remove rod in front of book, take out the sheets the Board accepts the same and orders the entire amount assessed to be typewritten and return rod to former position; against the City, and said assessment certified to the Finance i place written sheets in back of book in consecutive Department, order, and when all are written and thus filed the rods may be broken and the book locked. The Board approves a Primary assessment roll in the matter of the MCMILLAN Boox Co., improvement of the first alley East of 1Pest first street running 1 SYRACUSE N.Y. North and South from Laurel street south to first alley running East and West, thence East to first alley West of Sheridan street, by grading, graveling and boiffldering, and.3 brick center, as provided for by Improvement Resolution No.142-1908. The Board recinds all action heretofore taken on Improvement Resolution No.148-1908, providing for the imruov•;ment of Forth A street, from north 7th street to North 16th street, by constructing cement sidewalks 7 fe=t in wi?th on both sides thereof, between the Points named. The Board unanimously adopts Improvement Resolution lio.148-1908, providing for the improvement of 1lorth A street, from north 5th street to Liorth 16th street by constructing cement sidewalks, on both sides thereof between the points named, and cement curb and except on ortionsoftereof 'hsidewalkstwherencementtreet to constructionhoftstreet good except suchh quality already exists. the Board orders Resolution and plans for the opening and extension Of an alley, 20 feet in width, between South llth and 12th streets, from South G street to South I street.
