RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FAIR AND OPEN CONTRACT
FOR NELSON/NYGAARD CONSULTING SERVICES,
RE: FERRY TERMINAL
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has a need for professional services as a fair
and open contract pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44A -20.5 et seq; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has detetmtined that the value of the contract can and
may /will exceed $17,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has, through a "fair and open" process, advertised on its
website for the receipt of proposals; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret retained the services of Nelson/Nygaard
Consulting Associates, Inc., San Francisco, CA for engineering and planning
consulting services in connection with the Carteret Ferry Terminal Project; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned vendor completed and submitted all required
documentation; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret authorized the Finance Department on behalf of the Mayor and
Borough Council to issue and execute a Purchase Order for the foregoing to the above
vendor through the Fair and Open Process, with funds certified available by the Chief
Financial Officer; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CFO has been authorized to arrange to pay
for the foregoing in accordance with the terns o urchase order in an amount not
to exceed $17,500.00. Account # T- 25 -56 -81 -!H

tive bidding as a Professional Service pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- R4
5(1)(a). This contract and the resolution authorizing it are available
for public inspection in the Office of the Municipal Clerk.
This action is approved as an award of Professional Services Con-
tract pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Bor-
ough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
