CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD
IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER
& LIGHT PLANT, JUNE 1, 1981
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board
2 in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in
3 regular session June 1, 1981 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal
4 Building of said City. Chairman Welch presided with the following members
5 present : Messrs. Elstro, Williams, Ahaus, Hankinson, Mills, Parker and
6 Carter. Absent: Paust. The following business was had, to-wit:

8 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 18, 1981

10 Councilman Hankinson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting
11 as prepared, seconded by Councilman Elstro and on unanimous voice vote the
12 motion was carried.

14 APPROVAL OF BILLS, TRANSFERS AND INVESTMENTS

16 Councilman Hankinson moved to approve the following bills, transfers and
17 investments as appeared on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Ahaus and
18 on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

20 APPROVE THE FOLLOWING:
21 Bills in the amount of 370,952.24
22 1 Payroll 114,966.52

24 TRANSFERS FROM CASH OPERATING FUND
25 Depreciation Reserve Fund 91,000.00

30 * Short term investments, yielding 8.0 and 12.0% interest.

34 Chairman Welch noted discussion had been held concerning how many street
35 lights would be necessary in Henley Hills subdivision should the area be
36 annexed and a petition filed for them. Mr. Huffman stated it would require
37 thirty-three (33) of the low silhouette residential lights. He estimated
38 " the monthly charge to be $6.37 per light.

40 City Attorney Ed Anderson noted lighting was not included in the fiscal
41 report as only services provided elsewhere in the City are to be furnished.
42 City residents must petition the street light committee for lighting.

44 AWARD BID FOR THREE (3) NEW CARS

46 General Manager Irving Huffman stated bids were received at the last
47 meeting for three (3) new automobiles and Fred First Ford is the lowest
48 and best bidder at $18,935.40. Mr. Huffman recommended purchasing the
49 cars from Fred First Ford.

51 Councilman Williams so moved, seconded by Councilman Parker and on a call
52 of the roll the following was received and recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Williams,
53 Ahaus, Hankinson, Mills, Parker, Carter and Welch. Noes: None. The vote
54 being eight (8) to zero (0) in favor of passage of the motion.

56 EXECUTIVE MEETING ANNOUNCED

58 Chairman Welch announced the meeting will be Monday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m.
59 at RP&L.

63 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed
64 the meeting was adjourned.
