HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-18-1981 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, MAY 18, 1981 1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board in 2 charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant, met in regular 3 session May 18, 1981 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building 4 of said City. Chairman Welch presided with the following members present: 5 Messrs. Williams, Ahaus, Hankinson, Mills, Carter and Parker. Absent: Messrs. 6 Elstro and Paust. The following business was had, to-wit: 7 8 APPROVAL OF MINUTES 9 10 - Councilman Hankinson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as 11 prepared, seconded by Councilman Parker and on unanimous voice vote the motion 12 was carried. 13 14 APPROVAL OF BILLS, TRANSFERS AND INVESTMENTS PURCHASED 15 16 Councilman Hankinson moved the following bills, transfers and investments 17 purchased be approved as submitted, seconded by Councilman Carter and on 18 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 19 20 APPROVE THE FOLLOWING: 21 Bills in the amount of 975,181.45 22 Bonds and Interest Coupons 15,217.50 23 24 INVESTMENTS PURCHASED 25 Bond Reserve Fund 368,515.07 26 Bond Sinking Fund 134,536.54 27 Cash Operating Fund 250,000.00 28 Cash Reserve Fund 210,445.08 29 Consumers Deposit Fund 109,695. 17 30 Depreciation Reserve Fund 2,218,584.99 31 32 PROOF OF PUBLICATION 33 34 City Attorney Ed Anderson examined the proof of publication for three (3) 35 new automobiles and found it to be in order. Councilman Mills moved the 36 proof be accepted and placed on file, seconded by Councilman Parker and on 37 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 38 39 BID FOR THREE (3) NEW AUTOMOBILES 40 41 The following bids were received and recorded: Wellings Toyota Dodge, Inc. 42 $21,550.71 less three (3) trade-ins $20,050.71 for a Dodge Aerie four-door 43 sedan; Bruce-Hawkins Chrysler-Plymouth Inc. $22,812.00 less three (3) 44 trade-ins $20,274.36 for a Plymouth Reliant four-door sedan; Fred First 45 Ford $20,335.40 less three (3) trade-ins $18,935.40 for a Ford Fairmont; 46 Tom Brookbank Chevrolet $7,132. 15 per vehicle less three (3) trade-ins 47 $20,696.45 for a Chevrolet Citation four-door sedan. 48 49 Councilman Mills moved to refer the bids for the three (3) new automobiles 50 to the General Manager foa evaluation, tabulation and recommendation, 51 seconded by Councilman Parker, and on unanimous voice vote the motion was 52 carried. 53 54 ADJOURNMENT 55 56 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed 57 the meeting was adjourned. 58 59 Bing Welch 60 Chairman 61 62 ATTEST: Nancy V.
