AT THE VILLAGE BOARD ROOM

7:00 P.M.

3) VILLAGE HALL SPACE ANALYSIS. In this year's budget funds have been set aside to
initiate plans to build a new Village Hall on the six acres presently owned by the Village
adjacent to Wallin Woods Park. Additionally, with a specific grant contained in Governor
Ryan's FIRST program, the Village will receive $200,000 towards the building construction.
Typically, the data gathering, concept development and plan preparation can take up to one
year. Our current lease expires in March 2001 and if we are to be prepared to move into new
facilities at lease end, this initial planning process needs to begin immediately.
Enclosed are statements of qualification from two firms interviewed and capable of
performing this work together with the Scope of Services used to initiate the responses. A
representative of the recommended firm will be present to review their proposal.
4) ROUTE 30 IMPROVEMENTS. Engineering staff from the Illinois Department of
Transportation will make a presentation to the Village Board regarding Rt. 30 improvements
from the Rt. 59/Lockport intersection to the Rt. 30/I-55 intersection. The State has been
working an these plans since early 1987. We hope that the Governor's FIRST program will
enable the State to move ahead with these improvements more rapidly, in fact, IDOT is
hoping to complete the Phase I study in anticipation of moving forward.
The State is making this presentation to update the Board on the status of these planning
efforts. Additionally, they will update the Board on improvements that would improve
Renwick Road and Rt. 59 to enhance traffic flow. The Village has encouraged this
improvement since 1994.
IDOT will be scheduling a public informational meeting regarding these improvements after
updating the Board. They anticipate a date in October of 1999.

5) CENTURY TRACE. The plan presentation from the last Board meeting was
continued to this Workshop. The applicant is seeking Board discussion regarding the plan.
Issues to date include density, lot size, and open space. This is a complex project and the
applicant seeks a thorough discussion.
6) WELL HOUSE #6. The new well on 119th Street is under construction and will need to
be properly housed. The initial design will have to accommodate future expansion should
we be required to install water-softening equipment. Allen Persons will review for the Board
this design and budget considerations. Information attached.
