AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A MAP AMENDMENT (REZONING) OF LOT 1
OF THE JOHN D. SHREFFLER'S ADDITION FROM B-1 TO BT AND LOT 2
OF THE JOHN D. SHREFFLER'S ADDITION FROM R-1 TO BT FOR
THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD
WHEREAS, Plainfield Dental has requested rezoning of Lot 1 of the John D.
Shreffler's Addition from B-1 to BT and Lot 2 of the John D. Shreffler's Addition from R-1 to
BT, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has made the following findings based upon the
evidence presented to it:
A. The amendment promotes the public health, safety, comfort, convenience and
general welfare and complies with the policies and official plans of the Village.
B. The trend of development in the area of the .subject property is consistent with
the requested amendment.
C. The requested zoning classification permits uses which are mare suitable than
the uses permitted under the existing zoning classification.
D. The property cannot yield a reasonable use if permitted only under the
conditions allowed under the existing zoning classification.
E. The amendment, if granted, will not alter the essential character of the
neighborhood and will not be a substantial detriment to adjacent property.
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL AND KENDALL COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield hereby
adapt the findings of the Plan Commission. The petition requesting a rezoning of Lot 1 of
the John D. Shreffler's Addition from B-1 to BT and Lot 2 of the John D. Shreffler's Addition
from R-1 to BT, as to the real estate hereinafter described is hereby granted.
Territory .Described.
Lots 1 and 2, in Block 1, in John D. Shreffler's Addition to
Plainfield, according to the plat thereof recorded June 20, 1851,
as Document Number 116$4, Book V, Page 13, in the Village of
Plainfield, Will County, Illinois.
Section 2.There is hereby granted a rezoning of Lot 1 of the John D. Shreffler's
Addition from B-1 to BT and Lot 2 of the John D. Shreffler's Addition from R-1 to BT.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from .and after its passage
and approval as required by law.
