A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, DECEMBER 1 , 1975
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular
2 session December 1 , 1975 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers
3 in the Municipal Building in said City serving as a committee in charge
4 of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant. Mr. Brown presided
5 with the following members present: Messrs. Cornett, Elstro, Geier,
6 Hilton, Marino, Mills, Merchanthouse and Williams. Absent: None. The
7 following business was had to-wit:

9 Mr. Williams moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded
10 by Mr. Mills and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

12 Mr. Marino moved to approve the fillowing bills, seconded by Mr. Mills
13 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

15 APPROVE THE FOLLOWING:
' 16 Bills in the amount of $ 309,064.99
17 Interest Coupons 178.75
18 1 Payroll 66,164.36

20 INVESTMENTS PURCHASED
21 *Cash Reserve Fund $ 120,000.00

23 *C.D. 's Maturing 12-30-76, yielding 7% interest.

25 Irving Huffman, General Manager, presented the proposed 1976 budget for
26 the Board members to study, a copy of which is attached to these minutes
27 as a part of the record.

29 Mr. John Brown, Chairman of the Board, presented a petition which was
30 submitted to him from the residents of the Greenwood Apartments requesting
31 their electric bills be reduced.

33 Mr. Huffman said he has heard nothing from Indiana & Michigan regarding
34 a contract to buy power. I&M is telling their customers that in the
35 past they have been able to take care of the needs of other companies,
36 but now they may not be able to take care of anyone but themselves.

38 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed,
39 the meeting was adjourned.
