HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-18-1974 PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, MARCH 18, 1974 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session March 18, 1974, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building in said City serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant. Mr. Merchanthouse presiede with the following members present: Messrs. Brown, Cornett, Elstro, Geier, Marino, Mills, Shields and Williams. Absent: None. The following business was had to-wit: Mr. Mills moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded by Dr. Shields and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Mr. Geier moved to approve the bill , seconded by Mr. Cornett and on unani- mous voice vote the motion was carried. APPROVE THE FOLLOWING: Bills in the amount of $ 406,171 .33 Interest Coupon 1 ,637.50 1 Payroll 61 ,980.13 TRANSFER FROM CASH OPERATING FUND TO: Utility Bond Fund $ 71 ,254.15 Depreciation Reserve Fund 91 ,000.00 Cash Reserve Fund 60,000.00 PROGRESSIVE PAYMENTS ON: Black & Veatch Resident Engineer $ 2,160.00 Mr. Geier moved to accept and file proof of publication to advertise for bids on switches, seconded by Mr. Marino and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. General Manager Irving Huffman opened bids from the following: Allis - Chalmers , Indianapolis, Indiana I T E Imperial Corp. , Indianapolis, Indiana Westinghouse Electric Supply co. , Muncie, Indiana Mr. Geier moved to authorize Mr. Huffman to take bids under advisement, seconded by Mr. Mills and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
