A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FINDING
GOOD AND SUFFICIENT REASON TO CONVENE A CITY COUNCIL MEETING AT A
PLACE OUTSIDE OF THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
WHEREAS, Lynwood Municipal Code section 2 -1.2 provides that the location of
the City Council meetings shall be held at the City Hall at 11330 Bullis Road, in the City
of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, at its discretion, the City Council may convene meetings at a
location outside City Hall .upon any good and sufficient reason; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the location at 3740 East Imperial
Highway in the City of Lynwood, and has determined that the location has sufficient
space and facilities to accommodate all persons desiring to hear and be heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council anticipated that there would be a crowd in
attendance that is larger than normal for its public input meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this location is convenient and provides
the necessary capacity for its Special Meeting for Public Input on October 2, 2014, in
light of the anticipated attendance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there was good and sufficient reason to hold the Special
Meeting of the City Council at 3740 East Imperial Highway in the City of Lynwood on
October 2, 2014.
Section 2. That the location at 3740 East Imperial Highway in the City of
Lynwood has sufficient space and facilities to accommodate all persons desiring to hear
and be heard.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7t" day of October, 2014.
