ABSENT: None.
VISITORS: Annette Slbbett. Gary Elliot
Chairman Lindsay welcomed everyone and led with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Approval of Minutes: Chairman Lindsay entcnained a motion. Member Lott moved to approve
the minutes for June 12, 2019 as written. Member Johnson seconded the motion. All in favor.

hems of Business:
a. Introduction and Appointment of Ray Hart: Ray Han introduced himself and was
appointed as the new Planning and Zoning Commission Member, previously approved by
the City Council.
b. Introduction of Gary Elliott Gary Elliott approached the podium and introduced
himself Chairmen Lindsay entertained a motion. Member Lon moved to recommend the
approval of Gary Elliott as a new Planning and Zoning Commission Member to the City
Council. Member Johnson seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
e. Appointment of New Chairperson: Chairman Lindsay entertained a motion. Member
Johnson made a motion to appoint Member West as the new Planning and Zoning
Commission Chairman. Member Lott seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
d. Public Hearing
L Conditional Use Permit Applieati0q Ken Baldwin, Car Sales on R-1 Lot. Mr.
Baldwin was not in attendance at this meeting. Members discussed his application
and found that it did not comply with the Iona City Coda Annette Sibbett
approached the podium and stated her name and that she lives at 3816 N Hadcrlie
Lane. She stated that she is against the approval of said car sales lot in her
neighborhoud because she has many grandchildren at her house regularly and it
would be unsafe to have people test driving cars through the neighborhood. She
also stated that the homes in said neighborhood are very expensive and a eta lot
would lower the value of the homes. Gary Elliott approached the podium and
stated he is against said car lot being put in an R-1 zone. Chairman Lindsay
entertained a motion. Member West made a motion to recommend the denial of
the Conditional Use Permit for Ken Baldwin Car Sales on R-I Lot. Member Hart
seconded the motion All in favor except Member Lott. Motion curled.
Member West made a motion to adjourn [he meeting. Member Lott seconded the motion All in
favor, motion carried.
