A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RENEWING
THE EXISTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND STEINY AND COMPANY,
INC. FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO.
4011.67.988, APPROVING CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO. 1; IN THE AMOUNT
OF $56,382.93 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE CONTRACT
CHANGE ORDER
WHEREAS, on October 2, 2012, the City Council adopted Resolution 2012.186
awarding a contract to Steiny and Company, Inc. for the construction of the,Traffic
Signal Upgrade Project; and
WHEREAS, the contract with Steiny and Company, Inc., ended on June 10, 2013
and needs to be renewed to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, due to unforeseen field conditions a contract change order in the
amount of $56,382.93 was needed to address these changes; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the project to cover the change order.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves the renewal of the
agreement with Steiny and Company, Inc. and approves an extension to end March 31,
2015.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute said the amended
Agreement between the City and Steiny and Company, Inc. in a form approved by the
City Attorney.
Section 3. That the City Council hereby approves Contract Change Order No.
1 and authorizes the Mayor to sign the Contract Change Order No. 1.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21St day of October, 2014.
