A RESOLUTION CLARIFYING FOR THE POSTAL SERVICE AND THE VILLAGE OF
PLAINFIELD THE USE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR MAINTAINING AND
SERVICING ON EXISTING SANITARY SEWER LINE ON POSTAL SERVICE
PROPERTY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Plainfield, as follows:
WHEREAS, in 1976, the Village of Plainfield constructed a sanitary sewer line which
is located on property owned by the Postal Service and;
WHEREAS, there exists a 10 foot wide sewer easement as documented on the Postal
Service's plat of survey on to their southerly limits and;
WHEREAS, the Village desires to maintain the ability to repair or replace said sewer
line within the aforementioned 10 foot easement and;
WHEREAS, the Village will take any and all necessary action required to assist the
Postal Service in clarifying the scope and dimensions of the aforementioned easement on
their property, legal description on exhibit A, and will limit ouractivties to the southerly
1 ~ feet of property.
