Dear Mr. Ehart:

The Village of Plainfield would like to request a closure for Route 30 and the southbound lane of Route 59 at Newkirk,
as the 45th Plainfield High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled far Saturday, October 7, 1994, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00
a. m.
The parade route will start at the high school, Ft. Beggs and James Streets, and process north to Lockport (U.S. 30),
east on Lockport Street to Illinois, then south on Illinois to Commercial Street, and east on Commercial to Illinois Route 59,
south on Route 59 to Newkirk, west on Newkirk to Pratt Lane, Pratt back to the high school.
Route 30 (eastbound) traffic will be detoured onto Route 126, then east to Route 59, south on Route S9 to Routes
59/30 junction. Route 30 (westbound) traffic will be detoured north on Route 59 to Illinois 126, then west on Route 126
to Route 30. Route 59 (southbound) traffic will be detoured/stopped to allow parade entrants to leave Commercial and swing
onto Newkirk. Route 59 (northbound) traffic will not be effected.
We will place parade detour signs on all roads effected by the parade and physically have police officers manning these
paints to ensure positive directions for the motorist.
The signed copies of the resolution and certification page are enclosed. Again, thanks for your help in expediting our
request for highway closures.
