The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session at the office of said Board on Saturday March 26th,, 1910, at 8,80 O'clock A. Me All the members of said Board being present: Messra, Hasniaond, 7,imn.erman and Charles. The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - the Board meets in special session on account of the accidental death of Wm. Tutorcw,a lineman in th,� employe of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, The Board decides that while the City is in no way liable as to said death, they decide unPir the circumstances to assume the expense of burial oi' the rerelns of said Wn. Polnier comes befor the board and asks permission to use Front Street an un—improved street for garden purl,oses the decides they have no right to grant the request of Mr. Poinierrd and therefore decline to grant said request. Conplaintis made on account of steps of a dwegling on Sheridan Street between John '& Sherman streets protruding on sidewalk natter referred to City Engineer for Investigation. Henry U.Johnson Attorney for Clendenan & Co appeared before the Board in regard to a contract between the City and said Co. and stated that on account of action being brought against said Co. on running their fertilizer plant they would be compelled to stop running said plant & therefore in behalf of said Clendenin & Co. he would request the Board to release said Co, of their contract for removing dead animals from the City of Richmond, taken under advisement . A petition was presented from the Common Council for the improvernt of alley between South 14th & South 15th streets from South D'st'reet to South E" strut by grading, graveling, bowldering & •3 brick center taken under advisement. A Petition ryas presented fmr the improvement of alley betwe=n North c• and North H" streets from North 8th to North loth street by grading, Traveling, bovildering and •3 brick center. taken under advisement. A Petition for permission to construct under private contract, a panhole in the sewer in first alley South of Main street at the e sewer in said alley east of South 4th street Junction of privat signed by the Link Brewing Cc et al said work to be done under the supervision of the City Civil Engineer,petition granted. The Board approves the contract and bond of John D. Haner for tinklin. aw""Ping and hauling off sweepings on certain streets in the for the year 1910. The Board approves contract and bond of Daniel 0. Burkhardt for the construction of such crosswalks and repairs as may er ordered Board of Public Works during the year ending December •�lst, 1•- andlll for crushed stone belonging to Tripeer son contractors 1nvestiP,by ationhe City in July 1909, was presented and taken clfllps to the, amount oi' �'478.98 were allowed and ordered paid.
