The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana net in adjourned session at the, office of said Board on Friday April BtY, 1N10, at 9 O'clock A, 1l. Board being present: Mess The following proceodings were had, to -wit: - The Board instructs the Finance Department to pay Philip Hipaki1w and Sons contractors, the amount of $100.00 rr[}etained In addition to the reserve held on the following named i mprovere Resolution No. 170-19099 said amount retained for retat Ing, wall said Tall is all completed. The Board confirms the grade established between North 14th &15t from th' North line of North E• Street to a point fifty feet nort thereof as follows:- Beginning at the ?forth line of North Eu stre with elevation for'cent �r of said alley as 998.829 City Datum, an thence with an ascending grade to a point fifty feet north of the said beginning point, at an elevation of 999,07, City Datum. The Board receives complaint from the Council of City in regard shed obstructing alley between North 4th & 5th streets, south of back of property No. 229 North 4th street, referred to Prest.of A petition was presented for the improvement of Center Street fr North-west end street to North-west 5th street, by grading, gray the roadway and cement sidewalk 6 feet in width, 4nd. cement curb gutter on both sides thereof, between the points naned, taken un advisement. A petition was presented for the improvement of North 5th street, from North All to North ON street, by constructing cement sldeealk 8 feet in width, and cenent curb and gutter on both sides thereof, between the points naned, takon under advisement. Benfeldt pernlssion to construct fence during the wrecking; of the Second National Bank building, at the curb line on Main street and .3 feet west of the west rail of the Street Car track on ,North 8th street, said Benfeldt to renove all natarlal without delay from tnn locality & to complete said work Z- roove said fence .wlthln .30 days from date & to renove it sooner, if ordered by the Board by reason of the contemplated improvenent Of 8th street or otherwise. The Board unanimously adopts Declatory Resolution No. 50-1e10 prov- iding for the opening and widening of South-west C • Street from the nest line of College Avenue to the east line of the first alley west of South -vest .3rd Street. The Board instructs the City Attorney to purchase Statutes for the City Building,, The Board instructs Messrs, Hannond &.Charles of the Board to Invest- igate the ceiling in the Hose House at the City building., A190as to.building water closets at Glen Park. The Board instructs the City Civil Engineer to prepare papers for the widening of Ylest 5th Street; Also Plans and specifications for cement work and graveled roadway at llo. 5 Hose House on said West 5th street.
