The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana
met in rejular session at the office of said Board on Thursday'
Aur�1st 4th, 19101
at 9 o'clock A. M. The following member, of
said Board being present, Messrs, Hammond and Zimmerman, Absent
Charles. The following proceedings were had, to-vvit:-
A petition was presented for the improvement of South 4th Street
from Main street to South "E" Street, by constructing cement
sidewalks 6 feet in width on both sides thereof, between the
points named, same was taken under advisement:
A petition was presented for the improvement of North -:Test let St
from Kinsey to Lincoln Street, by constructing cement sidewalk
feet in width on the west side of street, between the points ^an=t,
same was taken under advisement.
Nr. Zimmerman moved that the Fire Department have a fire drill at
least twice a month, & that the President or other members of the
Board call out the Department for said drill, with out the members
of said department knowing of it, except the Fire Chief who shall
be informed of such calls beforehand, motion prevailed.
Mr. 0enn, Street Commissioner *as directed by the Board to repair
the railing on the north side of the Lain Street Bridge,

The Fngineering Department of the City reported the completion of

The Board accepts the same and orders assessment roll prepared, '
The Engineering Lep artrient reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution No. 221-1910, providing for the construction
of sewer in South A" Street between South 5th & 6th Str:et, Beginning
at the trunk sewer at corner of 6th & South "A" Street and running
west along South "A" Street 248 feet -The Board accepts the same and
orders assessment roll prepared.
The Board meets to hear remonstrances if any from persons primarily
assessed on account of the improvement of the North side of Elm Place
from North 8th to 9th Street, by constructing cement sidewalk 10 feet
wide anO cement gutter strip, hetween the points named, as provided
for by Improvement Resolution No, 215-1910. No one appearing or remon-
strating, the Board approves a final asessment roll, confirming in all
things the original assessment roll as heretofore approved, and orders
same transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance.
The Board meets to hear remonstrances from persons primarily assess-
ed on aocount of the improvement of the alley between South 4th & 5th
street. by constructing a cement roadway in said alley the full width
thereof, from the firs alley run ing east & west South of South B'
Strebt to South "C" Street as provided for by Improvement Resolution
Ilo• 216-1910. No one a earin or remonstrating the hoard approves a

ment roll as heretofoe approved, and orders same transmitted forth-
