The following agreement was presented by the City Attorney which was
unanimously adoptsd by the board, as follows, to -wit --

I1 CONSILSRATION of the aasumptlon by John F, Cronin A Company of the
obligations and agreenents of The 8, s, Axton Company, under this
contract for the Improvement of Eighth Street as provided for by Im-
p ovmyent Resolution No. 208-1909 of the Board of Public Works of the
City o Richmond, the said The S, S, Wanton Company hereby assigns &
transfers to said John F. Cronin h Company all its rights under said
contract without recourse on said The S, S, Saxton Company, and the
Bald John F. Cronin & Company hereby assumes and agrees to perform all
the obligations and agre{:menta of The S, S. Saxton Company under this
contract, and the aald John Y. Cronin h Company agrees to execute a
construction bond conditioned that they will faithfully comply with
the terms of said contract.
The City of Richmond by and through its Board of Public Works here-
by Consents to the assirmmo.nt of this contract to said John F.Cronin
6 Company and extends the time for the completion of said work to
November 15th, 1910, In consideration of the a331gnmpnt of all rights
