ComMittee Recommendations:
Railroad Right of Way-
1) From -1st Street to Southh end of existing cemetQry,
acquire right of way for trai:'.s and landscaping.
2) Acquire an easement from ceme.e.ry through undeveloped
ground to Dienhart Lane. Try to continue trail south
to Payette River along proposed Simmons Street or
Caldwell Street. Need a 20-40 foot corridor for trail.
3) From 1st to 3rd Street acquire entire right of way.
Develop walkways, parking for snowmobile or bike users.
Landscaping to enhance library, city hall and senior
citizens Center.
4) From 3rd to Huckleberry, acquire entire right of wa,y.
Continue trail network with parking considerations for°
bikers, -sight-seers, boat trailers, or water -front users,
and snowmobiles. Park network needs to offer restroom ,
passive areas, information sign, and rest areas. `frail
should include buffers from traffic and neighborhood.
Views and overlooks of the lake are critical.
5) From Huckleberry to Lick Creed Road area- acquire all
of -the right of way. Surplus lands could be sold o2
traded to improve site. Suppoc't for separate -isolated
bikeway (class 1) and independent signed and identlPied
groomed snowmobile corridor.
