MINUTES OF THE,AEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL • OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT PLANT, APRIL 21, 1969 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a com- mittee in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Bldg. in said City April 21, 1969 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. Council- man P. Marino presiding with the following members present: Messrs. Blackwood, Elstro, Geier, Henn, Hilligoss, F. Marino, Paust and Stigle- man. The following business was had to-wit: Mr. Geier moved that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved, seconded by Mr. Frank Marino and on unanimous voice vote motion was carried. Mr. Geier moved that the following be approved and paid, seconded by Mr. Blackwood and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Approve the following: Bills in the amount of= $ 248,502.85 Interest Coupons 426.25 1 Payroll 56,256.13 Transfer from Cash Operating Fund to: Depreciation Reserve Fund $ 36,000.00 Cash Reserve Fund 70,607.88 Utility Bond Fund 23,280.21 Mr. Beck recommended that the Board award the bid for automatic voltage regulators to the low bidder, Ralph David, Inc. , for $15,885.00, with delivery to be in five (5) weeks. Mr. Frank Marino moved the Board approve Mr. Beck's recommendation, seconded by. Mr. Stigleman and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Mr. Beck recommended that the Board award the bid for automatic circuit reclosers to the low bidder, Universal Electric Co. for $13,107.18. Mr. Stigleman moved the Board approve Mr. Beck's recommendation, seconded by Mr. Frank Marino and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 'Mr. Beck reported on the Whitewater Valley Station maintenance shut-down April 11. The Johnson Street Station and Indiana Michigan are replacing the current for the time of the shut down. Mr. Beck reported having received approval for the new rate for apartment buildings from the Public Service Commission. He asked that the Board allow 30 days before the new rate becomes effective. Mr. F. Marino moved that the rate become effective June 1, seconded by Mr. Stigleman and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Mr. Hilligoss asked if the new rate would affect some present users. Mr. Beck explained that all who are eligible will benefit from the new rate and will be notified. Mr. Beck reported the deathof Lew Trager, a long-time official of Indiana Michigan. Mr. Henn asked about the Black & Veatch report. Mr. Beck said that according to a letter he had, RP&L will have a preliminary report probably within a month.
