AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF WAYNE COUNTY, CONSOLIDATED
WHEREAS, The Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County, Consolidated has grant funding available by way of the Economic Development Income Tax (EDIT) Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that will be used, in conjunction with individual and non-profit donations, to fund a market analysis
specific to retail operations in Richmond and Wayne County, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County, Consolidated.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Thirty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($30,000.00).
3. Said grant funding shall be used, in conjunction with individual and non-profit donations, to fund a market analysis specific to retail operations in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.
