Council Chambers in the City Building ' in said City, October 7, 1968 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M. (EST) . Councilman Geier presiding with the following members being present: • Messrs. Elstro, Henn, Hilligoss, F. Marino, P. Marino, Paust and • - Stigleman. Absent: Blackwood. The following .business was had towit: Councilman Frank Marino moved the minutes of_ the previous meeting stand as read, .seconded by Councilman Elstro and on unanimous -voice vote was carried. . Councilman Stigleman moved the following be approved, seconded by Council- man Paust and on unanimous voice vote was carried. • Approve the following: Bills in the amount of • $ 155,762.35 Interest Coupons - 1953 Revenue Bonds 390.00 1 Payroll 57,319.75 Transfer from Cash Operating Fund to: Employees' Pension Deposit Fund $ 25,000.00 Mr. Earl Beck, General Manager of Richmond Power and Light, presented Proof of Publication on transformer bids. Mr. Cecere, City Attorney, examined Proof of Publication and found it to be correct and in order. Councilman Frank Marino moved that Proof of Publication be accepted and filed, seconded by Councilman Stigleman and on unanimous voice vote was carried. Mr. Henn questioned Mr. Beck on whether he had considered '68 models since he might be able to obtain them at a better price. ivlr. Beck agreed to take alternate bids on '68 models. Councilman Henn moved permission be granted for adver- tising of bids for both '68 and '69 cars, seconded by Councilman Paust and on unanimous voice vote was carried. Richmond Power & Light Minutes 10-7-68 • Mr. Beck attended .the Redevelopment meeting on downtown. area facilities and reported on the program for future plans for downtown Richmond. Mr. Beck requested that a meeting le held to discuss with the Councilmen re- visions on the future plans. The meeting is to be held on Oct. 14, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the Conference Room of the Service Building. Mr. Beck presented the Interconnection Substation Agreement for substation at Hodgin Road. Mr. Cecere examined the .agreement -and stated that an Ordinance would have to be prepared for Council' s approval. Mr. Beck reported on replacement of communications system. Mr. Beck stated that Mr. Dean.Spencer will head this project, and he' also stated 111 that they had filed for license and frequency, and proposals for this • agreement from three top firms has been received.
