The Board of Public �'lorks of the City of Ricruaond, Indiana,
met in refltlar session at the office of said Board on Thursday
February 8th, 19119 at 9 O'clock A. 14. All the 3nembers of said
Board being present, Messrs, Harunond, Charles and 713vserman
The following proceedings were had, to -wit: -
The Board instructs the Clerk to advertise for bids on improve-
ment under Improvement Resolution No. 6-1910, providing for
the improvement of North "D' Street, from Doran Bridge to Fort -
Wayne Avenue, by constructing cement curb and gutter on both
sides thereof, except where curb of good quality already exists,
and by paving the roadway the full width thereof between the
points named with one of the Kinds of modern pavements, to -wit:
Concrete - Brick - Asphalt - or Creosoted Wooden Block, and the
Board now decides that the City of Richmond will pay tithin•SO
days after the approval of the final assessment roll by th-) Board
of Public Works, for said above named improvement, the cost of
the street & alley intersections, and such awn in addition there-
to as Rill amount to 025000000
The P.oard approves the contract and bond of Philip Hipskind &
Sons, for the construction of a digtriot sewer in the alley be-
tween Cheatnut Street & the Indianapolis Division of the P. C■
C, & St L. Rye, Co,, right-of-way, from the sewer in Northwest
2nd Street to the eenter of Northwest 4th Street, as provided
for by Improvement Resolution NO, 238-19100
The City Attorney is instructed to notify the T. lie I, & go Trac•,
Co., to prepare to prosecute their portion of the paving of
North 'D" Street, tie same being that portion of said roadway
occupied by the street railway tracks and for a distance of 18
inches on the outside oi' the outer rails of said. tracks, to
give bond to begin said improv0m^nt by April 1st, 1911, and to
complete same by June 13t, 19118
The Board receives complaints from Council as to the condition
of certain :3treets, same is taken under advisement until such
time as the city can procure the necessary stone, to make the
needed repairs,
The Board orders Light placed on Northwest 2nd street between
the two railroads,
A Petition was presented si, ed by Dille & McGuire Mfg., roe,
et -al for extension of Water Main from North 13th to 15th Street
and connecting at each end with water main now laid in North 'y�
Street , the Board directs the Clerk to invite Mr. lloward Dill
SUP top Richmond City Water Works to meet pith L'nem on Sonday
February 13th� 1911, for investigation on said extension.
The Clerk Is
directed to notil'y the property owners to remove
the bowlders from the sidewalk on the north side of Grant street'
The Clerk is directed to advertise for bids as follows, to -wit:
