ments, to -sit:- concrete - Brick - Asphalt - or Creosoted Wood_

on the north side of said street, except on the portions now
paved with cement, and on the south side from loth to 13th Street,
After hearing all persons interested who appeared, and being
dilly advised Sr, the premises, the Board decides that the bene-
fits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement,
are equal to the estimated costs of same, as reported by the
City civil Engineer$ less the sum which the city will pay, to.
wit: The City agrees to pay the costs of the Street & Alley
intersections and such sum in addition thereto as will amount
to $7750.00, and thereupon the board takes final action on said
resolution as originally adopted, modifying the same so as to
provide that the roadway be Improved to the east side of North
16th Street, and so that the sidewalk on the north side shall
be constructed to a point 60 feet west of ?forth 15th Street,
and as so modified, said original resolution is confirmed,

In matter of contract for the construction of Fair-
view Sewer In territory west of Ridge Street and north of Linden
Avenue in the city of Richmond, Indiana, as provided for by Im-
provement Resolution No. 2x4-1910, I have examined all proceed-
ings in this matter, and am of the opinion that the proceedings
are all regular except In this one point, to -,pit:
The Engineer made his estimates as to costs and filed same
with the board before tine set for hearing, as provided by law:
the Board found that the benefits to property to be assessed
were equal to the estimated costs, and confirmed the original
resolution. Notice was given to contractors and bids received,
but all bids were above the estimate, The Engineer asked me if
a new estimate could be submitted, and on aahhurried examinatiOU
Of the matter, I told him I saw no objection to this. Notice
to contractors was given a second time and before the day for
bide to be opened, a second estimate was filed by the Engineer
with the Board, When 'bids were opened, it was Pound that all
bid were above the original estimate, but the bid of She Rell-
able Construction Co, of Indianapolis�was below the new estimate.

motion the City Attorney was directed to look up the law in the
matter of the Chautaucua Fund held by the City, and if legal to
draw up a bill for an ordinance appropriating money enoik;. out
of said fund to construct said bridge,
A petition was presented, for the improvement of South •H' Street,
from South 9th to 12th Street, by graveling the roadway, & cement
curb & gutter & sidewalks on both sides of said Street, between
the points naned, same was taken under advisem?nt..
Claims to the amount of $2467.17 were allowed and ordered paid.
