HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-09-1911 (1)�394 OffCity of ice of Board Indiana, ks, Thursday March 9th, 19110 The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in egular session at the office of said Board on Thursday March 9th, 1911, at 9 O'clock A, M, All the members of said Board being present, Hessrs, Haruaond, Charles and Ziivaerman, The following proceedings were had, to-wIt:- The Board receives the following complaints, and directed the Clerk to notify persons as follows, to -wit: - Mr. N. Neff, Sup'te P• C• C, & St L, Ry Co,, be notified to remove the dirt & rubbish etc,, from the streets, duriped from his companies crossings, The C, & 0, R, R, Co, of Indiana, be notified to extend there retaining walls at there bridge ¢r sing South 5th Street, to prevent earth from washing down or sidewalk, Street Commissioner be notified to look after the sewer at 8th & North "D" Streets. 1 A petition was presented, for the construction of cross -walk West 'fain Street, at West let Street from NE corner to B.E.corr same was taken under advisement. Complaints from the Common -Council in regard to the bad side on Main Street from 1st Street to 23rd Street, was referred the City Civil Engineer, for investigation, and if adviseabl to prepare plans etc,, for cement Sidewalks on said street t tween thA points named, The Board approves a primary assessment roll of benefits and damages In the matter of the widening of North "D" Street, Beginning on the south line of North "D" Street at a point 6 feet northwestwardly from Ft, WaynN Ave:, running thencA nor westwardly along the present line of North "D" Street, 40 fe to an angle in said line thence westwardly along the present line of said North "D" Street 24 feet: thence southeastwardl to the place of beginning, the same being part of Lot No, 31 Jesse Iden's Addition to Richmond, as provided for by Decla story Resolution No, 67-1911, and fix Monday Ilarch 20th, 191 as a date for final hearing and approval of said assessment and widening, The Board receives bids for sanitary sewer running, north & a between South 20th & 21st Street, in the rear of Lots 2 to 1 inclusive Charles Scotts Addition, beginning at the Linden ..,.1 Sttb-Trunk hewer and running south 420 feet, as provided for by Improvement Resolution tlo, 241-191.1., as follows:- Philip Hipskind & Sons, Bid: 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer 149 per lineal foot The Bid of Philip Hipskind & Sons bein the only bid received and being above the City Civil Engineer'"- estimate contract can, be let, and thA Board now directs that the said resolution be readvertised for bide, The Board receives bids for the improvement of Sherman Street, Of efromSeAing cement of cement sidewalks on hoth sides tnAregnt h.rldan to Of Stre-;t, as provided for by ImprpyeM Resolution No. 246-1911, as follows: - Wolfe & Clemens, BId: 5 foot cement sidewalks _ 5 foot cement cross -walks _ - 51 cents Per lineal fog 70 ° Thursday :.lurch 9th, 19119 Bids on Imp.
