HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-02-1967 C}:.l • MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT PLANT, OCTOBER 2, 1967 The Commom Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light Plant met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Building in said City, Monday, October 2,. 1967. at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman Backmeyer presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Hollingsworth, Paust, Young- flesh and Yount. Absent, Marino. The following business was had to-wit: Councilman Yount moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved without being read aloud, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice vote was.'.carried. Councilman Paust moved the following claims be approved, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice yore was carried: Approve the following: Bills in the amount of $89,476.88 1 Payroll 51,425.98 Chairman Backmeyer called a meeting of all members October 9, 1967 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. to be held in the confar-enneeroom at the Richmond .Power and Light. Councilman Hilligoss noted that a paid holiday falls on Saturday, November11, 1967 and therefore moved that Friday, November 24, 1967 be the paid holiday. This motion was seconded by Councilman Henn and on voice vote was carried 9-0.. Mr. Beck requested authorization to make purchase of an accounting machine in the sum of $900.00 which has been in use since November, '1965. This machine is still is good workable condition for use by the accounting department. Councilman Yount moved that W . BepC be authprized to make purchase of the accounting machine, secondedby ..ounce man Holiingsworth and on voice vote, was carried. Mr. Beck reported that the date of October 18, 1967 has been set for a meeting with the Public Service Commission. Mr. Beck stated that he was happy to report that the 47 units which are being constructed in the Towne House will be all electric.
