The Board meets to receive the Engineer's report in the matter of bide submitted, under Improvement Resolution No, 247-1911, the City Civil Engineer made the following reort:- To the Board of Public Works: Gentlemen: - In the matter of the bids for thre improvement of North "E" Street roadway from North loth to North 16th Street, according to Improve- ment Resolution No. 247-1911, I heeby report that I have examined the several bids submitted to the Board (anti the naterials sub- mitted therewith), and find that L, P. Meredith has the lowest bid on Brick Roadway, and H. B. Holman, the lowest bid on Con- crete Roadway, and W. H. Bell & Cc h:,s the lowest Did on Creosoted Wooden Block, Fred, R. Charles, City Civil Engineo And the Board now. enters Its preliminary order, designating that said roadway be Improved by paving said roadway with brick In accordance with the plans and specifications, Mr, "inmerman then moved that the Clerk forward all checks recdived with bids sub- nitted on aforesaid improvement, to contractors excepting the Checks of the above named contractors, motion unanimously prevailed A Cotrr.ittee from the Young Mens Business Club of Richmond meet in conferance with the Board on the Cluster Light System of LiSating Main Street, The Board takes up plat of Albert Oler & Jas, B, Howes,represents ing (29) Town Lots No. from 1 to 29 Inclusive laid out by Albert Oler & Jas. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, and being sully advised in the premises the Board decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said Smprovenmt are equal to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City Civil Engine- er, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as or1g4- nally adopted, the same being confirmed without modification.
