The Board receives bids for the improvement of Southwest.3rd Stre<t
by constructing Dement sidewalk 5 foot wide on both sides of said
street as follows, on the west side from ■D■ to ■g■ Street and on
the east side from National Road to ONE Street, as provided for
by Improvement Resolution No. 251-1911, as follows, to-vrit:-

The bid of Nolte & Thompson being the lowest and within the
estimate of the City Civil Engineer, the contract was on motion
awarded to the said Nolte & Thompson.
Pursuant to continuance to this date the Board take up the matter
of bid received for the re -flooring of the Doran Bridge after
carefully considering the price of labor and materials the Board
award the contract to Levi M. Jones at price named in bid submit-
ted therefor on March 27th, 1911,
The Board direct the Clerk to notify the Richmond City .Pater Works
to place a Fire Hydrant at West 5th Street & Linden Avenue,
Also at Northwest 2nd and Center Street, as petitioned for by
The Richmond Furniture ltfg. Co. & others, and The Miller Kemper Co

appeared, and being fully advised in the premises the Hoard decides
that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said im-
provement are equal to the estimated cost of sam,as reported by
the City Civil Engineer, and' thereupon takes final action on said
lesolution as originally adopted, the same being confimed without
modification,
.Sr. J. 1, Lonts, appeared before thi Board, in reference to the
vacation of the Washington Ave. Ry. Crossing, Mr. Lonts, stated
that he was in favor of said proposed vacation, and further ask
for perr.1s3ion to construct a macadam drive on back of tot'piopos-
ed to be dedicated to the City for Park Purposes by the P.C.C.& St
L. Ry. Co,, in the event said railroad crossing is vacated, the
Board takes same under adviaemmt.
The Board approves a plat representing (6) Town Lots, numbered
from 1 to 6 inclusive & to be known as Turner H
