The Board of Public works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board on Monday
April loth, 19119at 9 o'clock A. Me All the members of Said Board

The Board received the appointment of Messrs. W.H.Campbell
Frank Land & Harry 'ennett, as appraisers appointed by the Wayne
Circuit Court, to appraise the 180 & :36' by :30' engine of the
M,E.L,& P,P, authorized for sale by an ordinance passed by the
Common Council on April 5th, 1911, the clerk was directed to noti-
fy said appraisers to meet at the M.F.L.& P.P. 'Tuesday Al,ril llth,
1911, at 10 O'clock to make said alpraisement,
On motion the Board was directed to order 6000 gallons of Standard
Road oil and have the roads in the Glen sprinkled with the same,
also to make a test of Glutrin on said roads,
On motion of Mr. .ILr-.ermane the Board unaninously approves of oiling
the streets, provided, that petitions have endugh signatures of real.
dents along street proposed to be oiled, to insure the costs of
placing oil on same.
The Board received a petition signed by Joseph G. Trieber & 9 others
to have with brick West Hain Street, from West .3rd to 5th Street, the
clerk was directed to send petition to said petioners to have same
paved from Moln St. Bridge to West 5th Street,
Mr. Llnderruth attorney for Lira, 11, He Miller in regard to the 1st
alley sout* of North 'A' Street f'ron North 8th to 9th Street, the
Board decide to look over the same, & take same under advisenent
to Monday April 17th9 1911.
The City Clerk was instructed to notify the parties interested in
the plAing of the Pleasant Hill addition to city, to meet in the
office of Board of Public Works on Thursday April 13th, 19119
The Board directs the City Attorney to draw up bill for an ordinance
appropriating $70;.00 to construct a bridge at Glen Park.
The Clerk is directed to notify through the Police Dept'• the WestCet
Hotel, to clean the alley back of said hotel.
The Board appoint William Kenney, as fireman Chas. Skinner resigned.

ing a cement roadway in said alley from North 'Ll Street to a
point 47 feet south of the south line of Elm Place, After hearing
all persona who appeared, ani being fully advised in the premises
the board decides that the benefits to property liable to be asseo-
sed for said improvements equal to the estimated cost of the same
as reported by the City Civil Dngineer, and thereupon takes final
action on said lapolution'as originally adopted, the same being
confirmed without nodification, with the provision that the coat
of said Snproyenent be paid by Jones Hardware Co., as provided
for by Declaratory Resolution No, 60-1910, adopted December 1st,
1911, Mr. lioorman owner of abutting property on the west side of
said alley being present stated that he would construct the re-
taining wall necessary on the west side.
Pursuant to notice persons interested in the plating of the ?leas -
ant Hill Addition to the City of Richrond: appeared before the
Board, in regard to said proposed addition, after hearing all per-
sons Interested who appearedg the Board decides that provisions
be made for the opening of West 7th Street, and Richmond, Ave., -
and the city attorney was on motion directed to draw up articles
