Dr. Dhvis, Seoy of City Board of Health, appeared before the Board
requesting that p sanitary sewer be constructed in the allev
between North 4th & 5th Strut, north of North ■A■ Strut, as
such sewer tas a sanitary necessity, referred to Engineer,
The Clerk was directed to request Mr. Kelly, President of Earl,
ham Oollege, to m?et with the Board & Dr. Davis on Thursday May
4th, 1911, to take up the question of the over -flow of sewer run -
ring through said Earlham College grounds,
The City Civil Engineer was directed to prepare plans ete,, for
the construction of emert sidewalk on the east side of North low
Street, from Nort^ win Street to north corporate limits.
A petition signed by The Elliott & Reid Co., to construct under
private contract a cement cross -walk on Chestnut Street, 134 feet
east of the center of 91 4th Street, was received and on motion
petition was granted, same to be constructed under the direction &
supervision of the City Civil Engineer, with the request that said
cross -walk be constructed of brick,
+'!:e Roaid approves a primary assessment roll in the natter of the
construction of cement sidewalk 6 feet wide on the west side of
Scrth 13ta Street, from North ■r■ to 'Ho Street, as provided for
by Improvement Resolution No, 231-19100
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No, 260-1911,
Providing for the improvement of South 13th Street by constructing
Oement sidewalks 6 ft, wide on both sides of said street from South.

The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No, 261-1911,

The Board decide as no appropriation had been nade for the pur-
chase of scales, action be deferred on said bids until same is
approved by Council and appropriation is made for said purchase, V
The Eoard direct that the Street Commissioner put on 6 norl
to take up trash, and clean streets and alleys, and to help
city in shape on cleaning day Lay 5t1:, 1911,
The Board did then adjourn,
