The Board of Public Works of the City of Rfchnond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board on Thursday liay
4th, 1911, at 9 O'clock A. M, All the members Of said Board being
presPnt, NAasrs, P.arrond, Charles and Zimmerman. The following
prone.dings were had, to
The Board approves the contract & bond of John Be Sittloh, for
the inprovanent of the 1st alley north of South "A" Street, by
constructing a cement roadway in said alley the full Width there-
of, from South 20th to 21st Street, as provided for by Improve-
ment Resolution No. 254-19li.
The Board holds conference with Leanddr Woodward Trustee of Earl-
ham,with regard to city sewer running through Earlham College
grounds, on motion of Mr. Zint:erman, the Board decide to go over
the ground and investigate complaint on overflow.
The Board holds conference with Mr, McDonald Supt., of C. & 0, Ry
in regard to bridge over !lain Street, Mr. McDonald reported that
It would be impracticable to raise the same.

A petition to construct under private contract a cement sidewalk
the full width ofsane at 627 & 629 Main Street, signed by G. T. &
E, R. Dunham was received, the Board grants said petition, provided
said work is done & cleaned up before May 16th, 19117 or not com-
menced until after the Encampr.ent of G. A, R. May 20th, 1911,
The BoarH Signed articles of agreement to get the Freight tracks out
of Glen Park, and order the Clerk to send said agreer-�nts to the
T. R. I. & E. Traction to at Indianapolis, Ind., for there signat-
ure, before presenting the same to Council.
The Contract for improving the alley between North 9th & 10th Ste
from North "L" Street to a point 47 feet south of south line of
Elm Place, by constructing cement roadway in said alley the full
width thereof, between the points named as provided for by Improve
vent Resolution No, 255-1911was. awarded to Schneider Bros•, at
the price named in bid submitted therefore on April 27th, 1911,

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Boart on Monday

The Board approves the contract and bond of Schneider Eros., for
constructing, elementroadway in the alley between North 9th & 1�t'..
Street, from North "D Street to a point 47 feet south of the
south line of Elm Place as provided for under ImprovPront Resolut-
ion No, 255-1911.
A communication was presented from the Wayne County Fish and Game
Protective Association, requesting the Board to comply with the
Law in regard to placing a fish ladder at the Dam south of llaln
Street bridge, as the dam is in need of repairs the City Attorney
& Civil Engineer were directed to look up the agreement with the
Starr Piano Works, Richmond Light Heat & Power Co. The T.H.L& E.
Traction Co, and the City, and proceed to take the necessary steps
to have said repairs made and to construct said fish ladder.
The Board received the make—up sheet of insurance rates on the
City's property with recotmnendations for improvenants on different
property insured.
The City Attorney was directed to dram up an ordinance appropriat-
Ing A700, 00 of Chautauqua Fund, to construct a bridge 1n Olen
Park.
On motion of Mr. Zimmerman the Board decide to call uh.or, the Boar
Of County Commissioners of Wayne COunty,t0 go over the brides in
the city, as to the needs of repairs on same*
The Board direct the Clerk to advertise in the'i daily news-papors
Of the city, foe• bids on the water supply for the City and the
Inhabitants thereof, and fix Londay june llshfornfurnishingJsallc
A• 1% as a date for receiving said Prot
water supply.
Claims to the amount of 52322.5E were received &ordered paid.
