RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE DEMOLITION AND DISPOSITION OF
PROPERTIES OWNED BY THE CARTERET HOUSING AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret desires to approve the demolition and disposition
of 24 units of housing as outlined in Exhibit A due to the inhabitability of the units
destroyed in Super Storm Sandy; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret recognizes the Carteret Housing Authority's desire
to demolish and dispose of the property that can no longer be used for habitation; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has agreed to pay the Housing Authority of the
Borough of Carteret $500,000 as compensation for the property; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has agreed to demolish the buildings in question.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Borough of Carteret does hereby
support the application of the Carteret Housing Authority to dispose of and demolish the
property as listed in Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Borough of Carteret does hereby commit to
pay $500,000 to the Carteret Housing Authority as compensation for the property; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the persons whose names, titles and signatures
appear below are authorized by the Borough of Carteret to implement this Resolution and
that they or their successors in said titles are authorized to sign any documents necessary
in connection therewith:
