CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH.
The Public Hearing was opened at 8:06 p.m.
Planner Testin stated that the applicant is requesting annexation and R- 1 zoning with a
special use permit to establish a religious institution on a 1 O-acre property on the West
Side of Van Dyke Road approximately 1/2 mile north of 127th Street. Their intention is
to have the parcel annexed and come back for site plan review in the future.
The applicant has requested that the amaexation fees be waived if a religious institution is
developed on the site; and the agreement allows for the applicant to pay for the
properties' share of Van Dyke Road improvements at the time of building permit
issuance.
Ray Boss, the Building Chairman from the Church was present and stated that they are
currently meeting in the Heritage Grove Middle School and the Council is in the process
of changing the name to Christ Community Church of Plainfield.
There were no further public comments made.
S. Calabrese moved to close the Public Hearing and return to the regular meeting.
Seconded by J. Cherry. Vote by roll call. Smolich, yes; Calabrese, yes; Cherry, yes;
Collins, yes; O'Connell, yes. 6 yes, 0 no, 1 absent. Motion carded.
Public Heating adjourned at 8:11 p.m.

2000-2001 BUDGET.
The Budget Hearing was opened at 8:46 p.m.
Director Minick told the Board that the only changes incorporated in the final budget
relate to funding the remaining portion of DesPlaines Street improvements north from
Lockport St. all the way to Main St. This change was made in response to previous
Board direction. This change added $500,000 in total expenditures to the budget.
Otherwise the budget is unchanged ~from the preliminary draft distributed in February.
State statutes require the Village to hold a public hearing prior to the approval of the final
budget.
There were no public comments made.
The Budget Hearing closed at 8:53 p.m.
