MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT PLANT, APRIL 17, 1967
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a committee in charge
of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light Plant met in regular session in
the Council Chambers in the City Building in said City, Monday, April 17, 1967
at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman'Backmeyer presiding with the
following members being present: Messrs. Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Hollingsworth,
Marino, Paust, Youngflesh and Yount. The following business was had to-wit:
Councilman Marino moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved without
being read aloud, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice vote was carried.
Councilman Yount moved the following be approved, seconded by Councilman Bell and
on voice vote was carried:
Approve the following:
Bills in the amount of $217,318.63
1 - Payroll 47,067.70
CQ Interest Coupons - 1953 Revenue Bonds 165.00

Mr. Beck presented the following tabulation of bids that were opened April 3, 1967
for Automatic Voltage Regulators:

Mr. Beck reported that the bid submitted by the Richmond Electric met with the
specifications and he would recommend their bid. Councilman Marino moved the Council
concur in the recommendation of the General Manager, seconded by Councilman Paust
and on voice vote was carried.
Mr. Beck presented the following tabulation of bids that were opened April 3, 1967
for Automatic Circuit Reclosers and Accessories:

Mr. Beck stated that the bid of the Line Materials Industries met with the specifica-
tions and the Optional Equipment is needed and the Windlass can be deleted making
the total price $8,890.00. Mr. Beck recommended this bid be approved. Councilman
Yount moved the Council concur in the recommendation of the General Manager,
seconded by Councilman Bell and on voice vote was carried.

Mr. Beck presented proof of publication of Notice To Bidders printed in the
Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana on the dates of April 5-12, 1967 that sealed bids would be
received, opened and read aloud on the date of April 17, 1967 for furnishing
Varnished Cambric and Lead Cable according to specifications on file. The
proof of publications were examined and found to be correct and in order.
Councilman Yount moved the proof of publications be received and filed, seconded
by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice vote was carried.
April 17, 1967 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est) being the date and time
designated in said notice to open and read aloud the bids received. The follow-
ing bids were opened and read aloud:

Richmond Electric Co., Richmond, Indiana
Councilman Marino moved the bids be referred to the General Manager for tabula-
tion and recommendation, seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was
carried.
Mr. Beck reported that plans and specifications were now prepared for 69,000
Volt Oil Circuit Breakers and 336.4 mm ACSR Conductor (Linnet) and Accessories.
Councilman Yount moved the General Manager be authorized to prepare the proper
advertising to receive bids on the above mentioned equipment and materials and
further the date of May 15, 1967 be the date set to receive bids. Councilman
Bell seconded this motion and on voice vote was carried.
Mr. Beck reported that the inspection of the equipment at the Whitewater Valley
Station was under way as planned and invited the members of Council to the
plant to see what the inside of a turbine and other equipment looks like when
disassembled.
There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and carried the
meeting adjourned.
