THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT PLANT, MARCH 6, 1967 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light Plant met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City, Building in said City, Monday., March 6, 1967. at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman Backmeyer presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Bell, Henn, Hilligoss, Hollingsworth, Marino, Faust, Youngflesh and Yount. The following business was had to-wit: III Councilman Yount moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved without being read aloud, seconded by Councilman Bell and on voice vote was carried. Councilman Marino moved the following claims be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was carried. East Mr. Beck stated. that the bid of Kurdys' Chevrolet, Inc. was the lowest bid and met with the specifications and he so recommended the bid be approved. Councilman Youngflesh moved the bid of Kurdys' , Inc. be accepted, seconded by Councilman Hollingsworth and on voice vote was carried. Councilman Youngflesh moved the bid of Kurdys' , Inc. be accepted, seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was carried. Councilman Marino moved the bid of the Fred First Ford be accepted, seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was carried. _ R.P.U. minutes 3/6/67 cont. Inc. 17,010.40 120 to 150 Days 4750 W. 160th St. Cleveland, Ohio 44135 Mr. Beck stated that the bid of the Stahl Metal Products, Inc. was the lowest bid and met with the specifications and so recommended the bid be approved. Councilman Yount moved the bid of the Stahl Metal Products, Inc. be accepted, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice vote was carried. Mr. Beck reported one of the boiler feed pumps at Johnson Street Station is in need of repair. It is estimated the oost of this repair would be over $5,000.00. This pump will not be repaired at present. No. 2 Boiler is out of service at present. Spare parts from No. 2 Boiler are being used to keep No. 3 Boiler on the line. The Ash Skip Hoist is being held together by parts being supplied by Oberle-Jordre Company. There is being planned a reappraisal of equipment at the Johnson Street Station for insurance purposes. Mr. Beck said that every effort will be made to keep the Johnson Street Station on the line until that time comes that decision is made to shut the station down.
