PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
PUBLIC HEARING

2000 BOND ISSUE
Director Minick explained to the Board that because of a problem with the public notice
as published in The Enterprise, the Village must hold another public hearing on the
$18,000,000 bond issue for the North Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Enterprise
picked up the date of the previous public hearing incorrectly when the notice of the
public hearing was published. They published the meeting date as June 9, but in reality,
the actual date of the public hearing was June 19. Bond counsel advised the Village to
hold a second public hearing to avoid any potential legal problems with the bond issue.
There were no public comments made at this meeting.
S. Calabrese moved to close the Public Hearing and remm to the regular meeting.
Seconded by R. Smolich. Vote by roll call. Calabrese, yes; Cherry, yes; O'Connell, yes;
Smolich, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, 2 absent. Motion carried.
