AND. LIGHT PLANT, JANUARY 3, 1967 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the. Richmond Power: and: Light-Plant met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Building in. said' City,: Tuesday, January.3, 1967 at the hour. of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est.)'.. Councilman Backmeyer presiding with the following members being.present: :,Messrs.-:Bell; Henn:, Hiliigoss,` Marino, •Paust, :Youngflesh and Yount. Absent., Hollingsworth. The following business was had to:=wit: Councilman Henn moved the minutes of the previous meetingbe approved`without being read aloud, seconded by Councilman Bell and on voice vote wa"s carried. • Councilman Paust moved the following-bills be allowed and paid, seconded by Councilman Paust and on voice vote was carried: Approve the following: Bills in the amount of :.. ,$ 84,805.53 : 1 - Payroll 46,145.02 Payment of City Dividend ,858,688.00 Mr. Beck presented the following which was read aloud: - December 29, 1966 A. .E. .Beck General Manager _ The City Securities Corporation of Indianapolis phoned a few daysago offering to sell us $10,000.00 of our. 1953 Revenue bonds at a price-of $8,634.00. These particular bonds are 3k% bonds that mature January 1, 1984.. . Purchase of these bonds will result in a .savings as shown below: Discount 'on. purchase $1,366.00 Interest from January- 1, 1967 to January 1,: 1984 - 17 yrs:. .@ 3y%. 5,525.00 Total . $6,891.00 This purchase has been approved .by...the 'Finance =Committee and should .be officially approved at :the next Council Meeting. /s/ E. Porter Office Manager Councilman Hilligoss .moved the:.General Manager be authorized to transfer from Cash Operating Fund the sum of $8,634.00 to purchase $10,000.00nof '152 Revenue Bonds of the Rdmond Power and Light that mature January 1, 1984. Councilman Marino seconded this motion and on voice vote was: carried.- Mr. Beck announced that Mr. Irving Huffman, the new Administrative Assistant of the Richmond Power and Light,' had started his official duties.' Mr. Beck presented proof of publication of Notice To Bidders published in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper =of: general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of December 16-23, . 1966. Said publication designated that sealed proposals would be received by the Common Council of Richmomd, Indiana, serving as a Committee in Charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light of said City, at the office of - the City Clerk in the City Building in Richmond, Indiana, up to 7:00 o'clock p.m. January 3,. 1967, and then will be publicly opened and read aloud for..`furnishing One (1) Utility Body with 3514141Eigl Ladder, Fiber Glass Bucket, 360 Degree Rotation for Mounting on A.G.V.S. 19,500 lbs. wi h C.A. of 84" Min. Mr. Keller examined the proof of public- ation and found the same to be correct and in order. Councilman Hilligoss moved the proof o,f publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilman Bell and on voice vte was carried. January 3, 1967 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock being the date and time designated to open and read aloud proposals received. Indianapolis, Indiana Seastrom, Inc. :Indianapolis, Indiana Councilman Yount moved all proposals be referred to Mr. Beck for tabulation and- recommend- ation, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh'and 'on'voice`vote`was carried. Mr. Beck presented proof of. publication. of Notice To Bidders printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a. newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the dates of December 16-23, 1966. Said publication stated that sealed proposals would be received by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, ,Indiana, serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Richmond Power and. Light of said City, at..the.office of the City Clerk in the City Building, in Richmond, Indiana, up to 7:00 o'clock p.m. January 3, 1967, and then will be publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing One (1) new 1967 Model, Standard Cab Truck, Gross Vehicle Weight - 19500 Min. Mr., Keller examined the proof of publication and found the same to be correct and in order. Councilman Yount moved the proof of publication be received and filed, seconded. by Councilman Paust and on voice vote was carried. January 3, 1967 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock being the date and time designated to open and read aloud all proposals received. The following proposals were opened and read aloud: Warfield G.M.C. Sales Richmond, Indiana Kurdys Chevrolet, Inc. Richmond, Indiana Councilman Marino moved the proposals be referred to Mr. Beck for tabulation and recommendation, seconded by Councilman Yount and on voice vote was carried. Councilman Youngflesh moved that the General Manager make study of the specific- ations to see if they are wirtten so only a few dealers can bid. Councilman Bell seconded this motion and on voice vote was carried. Mr. Beck. presented proof of publication of Notice To Bidders printed 'in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmor3, Indiana on the dates of December 16-23, 1966. Said notice stated that sealed prop osals would be received by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as, a committee in charge of the operation: of the 'Richmond Power and Light of said City, at the office of the City Clerk in the City Building, in Richmond, Indiana up to 7:00 o'clock p.m. January 3, 1967, and then will be publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing One (1) New 1967 Model 6 cylinder 2-door .Sedan. Mr. Keller examined the proof of publication and found the same to be correct and in order. Councilman Yount moved the proofof publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice vote was carried. January 3, 1967 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. .being the date and 'time designated to open and read aloud all proposals received. Richmond, Indiana Councilman Marino moved all proposals be referred to Mr. Beck for tabulation and recommendation, seconded by Councilman Paust and on voice vote was carried. Councilman Yount moved the bid of. the Westinghouse Electric Supply Company be accepted as above set out, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice vote was carried.
