MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA SERVING AS A
C OMKTTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT PLAINT, NOVEMBER 7, 1966
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a committee in charge
of the operation of the Richmond Power and Light Plant met in regular session in the
Council Chambers in the City Building in said City, Monday, November 7, 1966 at the
hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. (est). Councilman Hilligoss presiding with the following
members being present: Messrs. Backmeyer, Bell, Henn, Hollingsworth, Marino, Paust,
Youngflesh and Yount. The following business was had to-wit:
. Councilman Marino-moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved without being
read aloud, seconded by Councilman Bell and on voice vote was carried.
Councilman Backmeyer moved the following claims he approved and paid, seconded by Council-
man Henn and on voice vote was carried.
Approve the following:
Bills in the amount of $124,792.44
Payment of Int. Coupons - 1953 Revenue Bonds 852.50
1 - Payroll 46,095.16
Chairman Hilligoss stated that a meeting of the executive Committee would be held in the
Service Building of Whitewater Station Wednesday, November 9, 1966 at the -hour of 4:30
p.m.

Mr. Beck presented the following tabulation of bids that were opened October 17, 1966.

Mr. Beck stated that the Alternate bid No. 1 of the Automatic Sprinkler Corporation met
all specifications and he was so recommending their bid. .
Councilman Marino moved the Alternate bid No. 1 of the Automatic Sprinkler Corporation
in the amount of $8,085.00 be approved, seconded by Councilman Youngflesh and on voice
vote was carried.
Mr. Beck presented the Richmond Power and Light Proposed Budget for the year 1967 in the
amount of 4,894,100.00.
IIICouncilman .Yount moved the Richmond Power and Light Budget for the year 1967 in the
amount 0f$1i,894,100.00 be adopted, seconded by Councilman Marino and on voice vote was
carried.
Mr. Beck reported the Engineer's report on the Coal Storage study. A Complete report
will be available to Council in the near future. As it shows on record, there is ample
coal at both stations for 30 days. Both storage piles will be increased to be enough for
45. days.

Councilman Backmeyer brought to the attention of Council that some of the invest-
ments made would be maturing on the date of November 15, 1966 and he so moved that
this body give authority to the Finance Committee to make the re-investments deemed
necessary. Councilman Henn seconded this motion and on voice vote was carried.
There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded, and carried the
meeting adjourned.
